An hour and a half full of smiles!
Every Thursday for the past two years, there is this moment of happiness I get to experience. This hour and a half filled with the smiles of girls who come to discover science at Les Scientifines. Throughout the school year, these energetic young people will give their all in a scientific project, which they will proudly present in front of their parents, teachers and classmates at the annual science fair. And it’s with even greater pride that we see their efforts rewarded! It’s a great opportunity for me to be able to assist and support them, and to know that it is thanks to our help that they end up with these beautiful presentations. To be a volunteer at Les Scientifines is to learn pedagogy, to give your time, but above all, to receive a lot of love and meet great people!

Volunteer With Les Scientifines
On a daily or weekly basis
We are looking for women volunteers to help lead in one or more of the regular activities offered by our organization, preferably with a profile in science, teaching, or social work to assist our young participants with the following:
- Homework Help program, Monday to Wednesday from 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.;
- Teen Science Fair program, Monday and Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.;
- Junior Science Fair program, Thursday from 4.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.;
- Science Journalism workshop, Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
In addition to being involved with a dynamic and creative team, you will have the opportunity to participate in all kinds of scientific activities, to witness the efforts the girls put in their work and the pride they take in completing and presenting their projects!
Share Your Knowledge and Experience
Occasional volunteer:
We are also looking for guest speakers to introduce our participants to inspiring role models from different scientific fields. Women who want to share their academic background and the type of work they do can present an interactive workshop for girls. We also need volunteer judges at the end of April each year when we hold our local Science Fair.
